Situated along US-411 in Delano, Polk County, The Road Less Traveled puts you within easy reach of some of the Southeast’s finest outdoor destinations. The Hiwassee River is less than a mile away, offering world-class fishing, kayaking, and lazy afternoon floats. The Ocoee River — host of the 1996 Olympic whitewater events — is just minutes away, with outfitters ready to guide you through one of the most iconic stretches of whitewater in the country.

Cleveland is about 20 minutes up the road, with a charming downtown, excellent local dining, and a gateway into the vast Cherokee National Forest — hundreds of thousands of acres of Appalachian backcountry filled with hiking trails, waterfalls, and mountain biking. Red Clay State Historic Park is a wonderful and free half-day stop, with easy walking trails winding through Cherokee history and the stunning natural Blue Hole Spring.

Chattanooga is only 30 minutes away, putting the Tennessee Aquarium, Lookout Mountain, and a thriving food and arts scene well within reach for a day trip.
